This powerful message takes us to the heart of Resurrection Sunday, reminding us that we often come to God with dead expectations, seeking a living Savior in the tombs of our past. Drawing from Luke 23-24, we walk alongside Mary Magdalene and the women who went to Jesus's tomb expecting to find a corpse, only to be confronted with the life-changing question: 'Why do you seek the living among the dead?' This isn't just about what happened 2,000 years ago on a Sunday morning. It's about how we show up to church, to prayer, to our relationship with God today. Are we coming out of obligation and tradition, or are we coming with alive expectations, remembering what God has promised? The resurrection stands as the most consequential moment in all of history, proving that Jesus is exactly who He said He is: the way, the truth, and the life. When we can't find God, it's not because He's unavailable. It's because we're looking where the dead things are, returning to old habits, old relationships, and old ways of thinking that we already buried. Jesus didn't stay in the grave because He chose to rise, and He made that choice because He loves us. This message challenges us to stop searching for a living God among dead expectations and dead circumstances, and instead remember His promises and seek Him where He said He would be.
